Inter will not be able to afford sensational signigs to completely close the gap between themselves and arch rivals Juventus in the upcoming transfer window according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

Inter will shop wisely on the transfer market and their transfer business will be dependent on player sales but the report does state that Inter will make necessary signings that will enable them to grow as a team and reduce the gap with the Bianconeri.

Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi has been heavily linked with a potential move to Inter for several months now and Sky Sport Italia journalist Luca Marchetti has revealed that whilst the Argentine may not be part of Inter’s business startegy, he could be part of their owners Suning’s business strategy.

Speaking in the Sky Sport Italia studios a short while ago Marchetti explained: “The reference is probably to the Messi dream, something that does not concern Inter’s business strategies.

“It’s something that could be in the strategies of the owners Suning but I don’t think they talked about the Argentine in today’s meeting.”

He concluded by adding what was spoken about in the meeting which was three and a half hours long: “The growth steps of the Inter team will not be judged whether or not the team wins the league.”
