Managing Inter is Max Allegri’s first choice as he looks to make a return to football according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The former Juventus manager took a sabbatical year after leaving Juventus at the end of the 2018/19 season and he is now ready to return to management.

Allegri wants to manage Inter as he wants to become the first manager in the history of Italian football to win titles with Inter, AC Milan and Juventus.

In order to be able to manage Inter, current Inter manager Antonio Conte will need to depart. Conte is meeting with Inter president Zhang today to hold talks over his future.

Allegri has also been linked with potentially taking over at Ligue 1 side Paris Saint-Germain with reports suggesting that club bosses are considering parting ways with Thomas Tuchel after losing in the Champions League final.
