Cagliari are thinking about bringing Matias Vecino back to the club according to a report from the Italian edition of online media outlet Goal.com.
The Uruguayan national team player is not part of Inter’s project for the 2020/21 season the report continues, and Inter manager Antonio Conte has already given his thumbs up to the sale of the recently turned 29-year-old, who is currently recovering following surgery on his knee.
Vecino spent the second half of the 2013/14 season on loan at Cagliari from Fiorentina and now his adventure with Inter appears to be over, Cagliari are the first team to have thought seriously about signing him although the report does state that many clubs like him both in Italy and outside of Italy.
Vecino joined Inter in the Summer of 2017 from Fiorentina and still has just under two years left to run on his contract with the Nerazzurri club. Since joining Inter, Vecino has made 96 appearances, in which he has scored 11 goals and provided six assists for his teammates.
