Inter are getting closer to signing Chelsea wing-back Emerson Palmieri according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Nerazzurri club are keen to reinforce at left wing-back ahead of the coming season and have been tracking the Brazilian born Italian national team player for some time. Reports elsewhere in the media as of late have suggested Chelsea want €30 million for him.

Emerson Palmieri may not be the only player to arrive to reinforce Inter’s defence either in the upcoming transfer window with the report from the Milan based news outlet stating that if Milan Skriniar leaves the club, Inter could bring in Hellas Verona’s highly rated young centre back Marash Kumbulla to replace him.

Inter are yet to agree terms with Hellas Verona over the Albanian national team player who had his first team breaktrhough during the recently concluded 2019/20 season but the Nerazzurri club have long had a ‘yes’ to a move from the player.
