Inter management met with Fiorentina management today to hold talks over the respective situations of Cristiano Biraghi and Dalbert and the meeting did not go as hoped for Inter according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired a short time ago.

Biraghi would like to stay at Inter and Inter would also like to keep him at the club following his performances whilst on loan during the recently concluded 2019/20 season, but a renewal of both loans will not occur as Dalbert did not convince Fiorentina and will therefore return to Inter.

The report states that Inter also want to keep Biraghi as it would be advantageous for the sake of meeting UEFA squad list requirements due to his homegrown status.

The report adds that it cannot be ruled out that Inter make an attempt to sign Biraghi, perhaps via a different formula and not including Dalbert into any negotiations.
