In the coming hours, Inter will announce the signing of Stefano Sensi on a permanent basis from Sassuolo according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.

Inter are to exercise their option to sign Sensi, who spent the 2019/20 season on loan at them, on a permanent basis for a sum of €20 million.

The report goes on to explain that Inter could recover some of these funds via the sale of Lorenzo Pirola to the Neroverdi club with the deal for the Italian youth national team player being done separately to the Sensi deal.

Sassuolo would like to sign Pirola on a permanent basis but Inter manager Antonio Conte is against losing the 18-year-old, who is valued in the region of €8 million.

Conte wishes to retain Pirola and help him grow as a player but this will not stop Inter and Sassuolo from speaking about him anyway, even if Sassuolo are already looking at potential alternatives.
