Arturo Vidal remains at the top of Inter manager Antonio Conte’s transfer wishlist according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.
Conte has wanted Vidal signed in each of the past two transfer windows but Barcelona have proved difficult to deal with.
Barcelona will however not be a problem this time round as they are willing to offload the Chilean national team player. The problem for Inter will be the competition they will face which could lead to a bidding war that could increase his price up to a figure Inter are unwilling to spend.
The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to explain that Inter are carrying on with their pursuit of Brescia central midfielder Sandro Tonali. Inter have already agreed personal terms with the player but an agreement with Brescia is lacking.
In a bid to convince Massimo Cellino, Inter could increase the loan fee they pay in order to give Brescia more money immediately as part of what would be a loan with obligation to buy transfer.
Inter could raise the loan fee to as high as €10 million and then pay €25 million to sign him outright so the total value of the deal would be €35 million.
Chelsea wing-back Emerson Palmieri is also a target of Inter who will also have to make player sales. It will be necessary for Inter to sell one of Marcelo Brozovic, Milan Skriniar, Matias Vecino and Roberto Gagliardini. Inter will also look to sell Ivan Perisic and Dalbert.
The report concludes that Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante, Tottenham Hotspur’s Tanguy Ndombele and Hellas Verona’s Marash Kumbulla are also transfer targets for Inter.
