Inter are close to signing Emerson Palmieri from Premier League club Chelsea according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter met with Fiorentina yesterday to hold talks over the respective futures of Cristiano Biraghi and Dalbert and the two clubs failed to come to an agreement thus meaning both players will return to their parent clubs and the reason for this is because Inter are close to bringing in Emerson.

Chelsea are prepared to let the Brazilian born Italian national team wing-back depart the club following their acquistion of Ben Chilwell and the report states that Emerson will not be the only left wing-back that Inter talk about.

The report goes on to explain that Inter will meet with Parma and speak about Matteo Darmian although it is currently difficult to foresee the versatile former Manchester United player ending up at Inter.
