Inter will sign Sandro Tonali plus one big name to bolster the midfield department in the transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter have been working on signing highly rated Italian national team player Tonali from Brescia for some time and in addition to him Inter manager Antonio Conte would like a more experienced top midfielder.

Conte’s dream signing is that of Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante whilst Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal and Tottenham Hotspur’s Tanguy Ndombele are also options for the Nerazzurri club.

Kante will not come cheap though and the report suggests Inter will need to make a big sale if they wish to bring the Frenchman to the club. Inter have plans to sell Radja Nainggolan, Ivan Perisic and Joao Mario and they will have to sell at least one of Marcelo Brozovic or Milan Skriniar too.

When it comes to Vidal, the Chilean has been placed on the transfer list and his arrival could restore real peace between Conte and the club seeing as Conte has demanded his signing for the past two transfer windows.

As for Ndombele, Tottenham Hotspur are described as being resistant to a sale but Inter ultimately know that the former Lyon player is on the market. The report does however warn that it will be difficult for a swap involving Ndombele and Skriniar to be achieved in the next few weeks.
