Lazio have moved to reach an agreement with Mohamed Fares due to fearing that Inter could hijack their move for him according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Lazio met with Fares’ agent yesterday and they came to an agreement over a five year contract worth €1.5 million a year.

Whilst Lazio have agreed terms with the Algerian wing-back, they are yet to agree terms with SPAL. SPAL are demanding a sum of €10 million whilst Lazio would like to do a deal on the basis of €7 million plus one player.

The report goes on to add that despite Lazio reaching an agreement with Fares’ agent over personal terms, it still cannot be excluded that Inter will come in for him. Prior to Fares’ injury, Inter had in fact agreed a €12 million fee with the Ferrara based club. The report concludes that the coming week will be decisive.
