Inter remain ahead in the race to sign Hellas Verona central defender Marash Kumbulla according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.

Inter have already agreed personal terms with the Albanian national team player, who they are yet to find an agreement with Hellas Verona over.

Inter could include Eddie Salcedo and Federico Dimarco in their bid to sign Kumbulla and are currently offering no more than €18 million in cash whilst Hellas Verona are understood to be demanding €30 million for the 20-year-old.

Hellas Verona have sped up in their pursuit of Sassuolo defender Giangiacomo Magnani and this suggests a Kumbulla sale could be imminent.

The report from the Turin based news outlet goes on to explain that Inter are working on two other names for the defence.

Inter are due to meet Parma in the coming days and will talk about Matteo Darmian, who could be useful due to his versatility, especially if Cristiano Biraghi does not stay. Torino’s Armando Izzo is also a player that Inter like an if unable to sign Kumbulla they could bring him in.
