Inter have receieved an ‘ok’ to a move to the club from Roma’s Aleksandar Kolarov according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter coach Antonio Conte wants to bring a player who leads by example and is a reference points both on and off of the pitch and Kolarov is exactly that, the report continues.

Now Inter have the player open to a move, they need to deal with Roma and convince them to let the soon to be 35-year-old to leave the club.

Given his age and fact his contract expires at the end of the upcoming season, Roma will be unable to demand too much for the Serbian and Inter already having the player’s ‘yes’ could be an advantage.

Inter manager Antonio Conte could utilise Kolarov as an alternative to Alessandro Bastoni at left centre back or as a left wing-back and the report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to state that Kolarov arriving could help Inter when it comes to signing Edin Dzeko as the two of them are close friends.
