Inter CEO Beppe Marotta has asked Brescia President Massimo Cellino for more time before wrapping up the signing of AC Milan target Sandro Tonali, Italian broadcaster SportItalia’s transfer market expert Alfredo Pedullá reported on air moments ago.

According to the report, Marotta told Cellino that after the Europa League they would wrap up the deal but new more pressing transfer targets have arisen following the decisions made in the meeting with Antonio Conte and Steven Zhang.

However, the report continues, Inter are still very interested in Tonali and the Nerazzurri need to sign Arturo Vidal from Barcelona further down the line.

Inter have presented an offer to Brescia worth €35 million divided up as €10 million for a loan and the remaining €25 million as a forced option to buy, which Cellino has accepted but asking for a further €5 million in various add-ons the report continues.

Milan have on the other hand offered Cellino €10 million for a loan with another €20 million as an option, not forced, to buy which has been rejected, Pedullá continues.

“Right now we are in a standby situation with Milan who are continuing to press to have the non-forced option to buy accepted which Cellino refuses.

“Meanwhile, Inter have asked for more time to be able to to sell players but need to do so in a hurry. Marotta has an agreement in place with the player but if Milan were to raise their offer to a forced option to buy, the deal could become even more in jeopardy” Pedullá concludes.
