Inter will look to sign Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal after securing the signature of Roma veteran Aleksandar Kolarov, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how the Nerazzurri’s strategy is clear, they want to sign experienced winners in order to give coach Antonio Conte a squad capable of beating Juventus to the league title. The Milanese club are close to completing a deal for the 34-year-old Kolarov and will then focus on signing Vidal.
The 33-year-old Chilean midfielder was already wanted in the last two transfer windows, the report continues, with Conte a big fan of the player. The Blaugrana are overhauling the squad and haven’t included Vidal in their plans and so a deal shouldn’t be too difficult to reach. He would then sign a two-year contract with the Nerazzurri. Last season Vidal scored eight goals and provided three assists in 43 appearances this season.
