Italian football journalist Fabrizio Biasin has questioned the notion of a team needing to have experienced players in their squad in order to win silverware amid ongoing reports in the media concerning several older and experienced players.
Inter have been strongly linked with signing Aleksandar Kolarov from Roma and multiple reports have stated there is minimal distance between the two clubs with Inter understood to have offered just under Roma’s €2 million asking price for the versatile Serbian defender.
Juventus have meanwhile been linked to Kolarov’s Roma teammate Edin Dzeko as they look to bolster their attacking options ahead of the upcoming 2020/21 season.
As Biasin points out, both players are currently at Roma but their respective presences have not helped the Giallorossi to pick up any silverware during their time with the Italian capital city side.
Biasin took to social media platform Twitter to share his views on the notion and he posted: “‘To win you need to have experienced players.’ It is certainly true. In fact Inter are going for Kolarov and Juve for Dzeko but the fact of the matter is Roma had both of them but it wasn’t enough. Moral of the story, we should avoid generalizing which is for the best.”
“Per vincere bisogna avere i giocatori esperti”.
Ed è certamente vero.
E infatti l’#Inter va su #Kolarov e la #Juve su #Dzeko.
Poi il dato di fatto è che la #Roma ce li aveva tutti e due ma non è bastato.
Morale: evitiamo di generalizzare che è meglio.— Fabrizio Biasin (@FBiasin) August 28, 2020
