A report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport has suggested that coach Antonio Conte may not be the Inter coach for the 2021/22 season, despite the recent positive meeting between the two parties.
The report details how the Nerazzurri’s market strategy has clearly changed since the positive meeting between Conte and the club’s management, including president Steven Zhang. The Milanese club are looking to sign players who can instantly help the club win, like Arturo Vidal and Aleksandar Kolarov, showing a clear departure from the strategy of signing young talents.
Whilst there is currently peace between Conte and club, the report continues, it’s impossible to predict whether the coach will still be in charge of the Nerazzurri or not for the 2021/22 season, especially if he does return to the Italian national team after next summer’s European Championships. Rumours have suggested that the 51-year-old Italian would like to lead the Azzurri again.
