Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante is the top of coach Antonio Conte’s transfer wish list, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 29-year-old Frenchman is no longer considered unsellable by Blues coach Frank Lampard and so around €50 million could be enough to take him away from London. Space will need to be made in the midfield department, with Matias Vecino, Roberto Gagliardini and Borja Valero all seemingly on the way out.

If Inter fail to raise the €50 million necessary to secure Kante, then alternatives will be pursued, the report continues.

The first alternative is Spurs midfielder Tanguy Ndombélé, and a possible exchange with defender Milan Skriniar is still on the cards, with the second idea being Atletico Madrid’s Thomas Partey, who would cost around €40 million. Considering the roles of both Marcelo Brozovic and Christian Eriksen, it appears that Conte is looking for a range of options in midfield.
