Inter are one step away from closing the deal for Roma’s Serbian international veteran defender Aleksandar Kolarov, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri have already reached personal terms with the 34-year-old Serbian left back and are now close to reaching an agreement with the Giallorossi as well.

The Rome based side have asked for €2 million for the player, whose contract expires with the club at the end of next season, but Inter have only offered €1 million, and talks are ongoing.

Inter had no interest in including any youth players in the deal, the report continues, and simply want to invest in an experienced veteran who would be able to be the backup for youngster Alessandro Bastoni on the left side of the back three, as well as providing backup to Ashley Young in the left wing back role.
