Legendary Inter player and current club vice-president Javier Zanetti has taken to social media platform Instagram to celebrate the recent 25 year anniversary of his debut for the club.

The former Argentine national team player, who captained Inter during the majority of years he was with the club, debutted back on August 27 1995 against Vicenza.

Zanetti made a total of 858 appearances across all competitions for the club, the most any player has ever made for the Nerazzurri.

He posted: “Today, twenty-five years ago, my story began with these colours. Since that Inter-Vicenza on 27 August 1995 I have felt the Nerazzurri shirt as part of my skin, a family, my life. Every moment and emotion with all the people who have made and are part of this club is indelible. The pride of being part of Inter since that afternoon at San Siro has been stronger every day, for twenty-five years.”
