Inter midfielder Borja Valero, who will officially leave the Nerazzurri tomorrow when his contract expires with the club, is wanted by both Genoa and Parma, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the 35-year-old Spaniard struggled to earn playing time under coach Antonio Conte at the start of the season, not making a league appearance until the end of November. However, the player was crucial for the 51-year-old Italian coach when the season restarted after the Coronavirus stop, and he was even preferred over Christian Eriksen in some games.

Despite a strong ending to the season, no new contract ever arrived, despite some rumours suggesting a one-year contract extension was on the table, the report continues. As such, he will officially leave the club tomorrow, ready for a new adventure. Fellow Italian sides Genoa and Parma are both interested in signing the experienced midfielder, who made 100 appearances for Inter across all competitions in his three years at the club.
