The future of Inter owned winger Ivan Perisic is currently unclear, with the Nerazzurri still hopeful that Bayern Munich will sign the player, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the 31-year-old Croatian winger was an important part of the German squad that won the Treble last season, even appearing in the Champions League final.

Perisic joined the Bavarian club on a loan deal with a €20 million buy option attached last summer, but Bayern decided not to pay the fee, which expired in May.

Considering that Perisic played often and started regularly after that period, it seems likely that the German club would look to sign him permanently, the report continues.

However, the club aren’t willing to pay a particularly high fee and so the Nerazzurri may have to settle for less than they hope if they are to offload the player this window.
