The chances of seeing Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan playing under Inter coach Antonio Conte next season are almost zero, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report details how the 33-year-old midfielder impressed this season whilst on loan with Sardinian side Cagliari. The player underwent his last training session with the Rossoblu yesterday and from Tuesday will formally return to Inter, but the chances of seeing him under Conte next season are almost zero due to both his wishes and the Nerazzurri’s.
Nainggolan only wants to play for Cagliari, the report continues, and the Sardinian club’s management are working with Inter to secure the player on loan again.
Coach Eusebio Di Francesco has no interest in losing the 33-year-old Belgian and wants him to be an important part of next season’s squad as well. Nainggolan scored six goals and provided seven assists in 29 appearances last season.
