Inter are incredibly close to finalizing the deal for Roma left back Aleksandar Kolarov but Nerazzurri coach Antonio Conte still wants Chelsea full back Emerson Palmieri, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the 34-year-old Serbian will leave Rome today to join his national team ahead of the upcoming Nations League commitments, and may fly straight to Milan after those games in order to fully complete the deal that will take him to the Lombardy capital.

Over the last three days the Nerazzurri, under the insistence of Conte, have worked hard to close out the move, reaching an agreement with the player for two years at around €3-3.5 million net per season.

The only issue is there is still a slight distance between the two clubs regarding price, the report continues, although it’s only €500 thousand difference, with Roma asking for €2 million. Conte still wants Chelsea’s Emerson Palmieri as well, and the club may look to offer the blues a loan deal with a buy option attached.
