Inter defender Alessandro Bastoni celebrated his senior Italy call-up in a post on his Instagram page yesterday.

The 21-year-old became a first team regular under coach Antonio Conte last season, often starting ahead of veteran defender Diego Godin. Bastoni has featured for Italy’s Under-16, Under-19 and Under-21 squads prior, but has never received a cap for the Azzurri. He is likely to earn his first in the upcoming Nations League games against Bosnia and the Netherlands next week.
