Inter manager Antonio Conte is waiting for Arturo Vidal to arrive and also has N’Golo Kante as his primary target for the midfield according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Conte knows Vidal well having worked with him at Juventus. The Chilean national team player can play at the centre of the midfield in a 3-5-2 system or he can play in a more advanced role in a 3-4-1-2 system.

As for Kante, despite his slender physique, he has incredible dynamism and strength. Whilst the Frenchman may be lacking when it comes to creativity, the report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to state that if needed, Christian Eriksen is already at Inter to provide that.

Should both Vidal and Kante arrive at Inter from Barcelona and Chelsea respectively, the report explains that Conte will have a midfield just how he likes it between the addition of those two plus those already at the club. The report explains that Conte wants a battling Inter in the middle of the park.
