Inter do not want SPAL to agree a deal with Lazio over Mohamed Fares according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Lazio have been trying to sign Algerian national team wing-back Fares for some time and the report explains that Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio do not want SPAL to finalise a deal as they want to make some sales before presenting an offer to them for Fares.

Inter could sell Dalbert then reinvest some of the funds raises and offer a young player as part of a bid for Fares, who has already agreed personal terms with Lazio thanks to his agent.

Lazio and SPAL have not reached an agreement over Fares yet. Lazio have offered €7 million plus €2 million in add-ons whilst SPAL are continuing to hold out for €10 milllion for the 24-year-old, who is under contract with them until 2022.
