Inter have submitted an offer to SPAL for wing-back Mohamed Fares according to a report from Italian journalist and transfer market expert Alfredo Pedulla.
As per the report, which appeared on Pedulla’s self-named website, Inter have made a loan with obligation to buy offer for Fares with the obligation to buy dependent on Inter qualifying for the Champions League. Inter have offered a loan fee of €1.5 million and the obligation to buy is set at €7 million.
Inter are not the only club courting the Algerian international though as Lazio are also in for him and are in fact ahead of Inter thanks to having offered €8 million, which falls €2 million short of SPAL’s asking price for Fares. Should Lazio up their offer by around €1.5 million, they could well get a deal done for Fares.
During the 2019/20 season, Fares was limited to just nine appearances across all competitions due to a cruciate ligament injury. In just under 500 minutes on the field, he failed to make any goal contributions.
