Milan Skriniar wishes to remain an Inter player according to a report from Italian daily newspaper FCInterNews.it.
Inter sporting director Piero Ausilio yesterday insisted that the Slovak would be going nowhere and the player himself’s first choice is also to remain with the Nerazzurri club who he joined in 2017 from fellow Serie A club Sampdoria.
Reports have linked him with a potential move to Tottenham Hotspur via a swap deal that would involve Tanguy Ndombele but there are no concrete negotiations. Skriniar has also been proposed to Paris Saint-Germain via an Italian intermediary as a replacement for the recently departed Thiago Silva.
It however remains to be seen how much Paris Saint-Germain would be willing to pay because Inter have zero intention of letting the 25-year-old go for anything less than €50 million.
Another potential landing spot is Manchester United. The Premier League club are looking to strengthen their defence and have made an enquiry about him.
Of the three destinations, only Paris Saint-Germain would give Skriniar complete satisfaction with him not keen on a move to Tottenham Hotspur and only feeling lukewarm about a potential switch to Manchester United.
As mentioned earlier on, Skriniar wants to stay at Inter. He is not thinking about moving away from the club and wishes to stay in Milan where he is perfectly happy, even if he has to compete with Diego Godin for a place in the starting line-up.
Inter have put negotiations to sign Marash Kumbulla on hold and are continuing in their pursuit to sign Aleksandar Kolarov and the report concludes that Skriniar is not scared by the prospect of increased competition.
