Inter alerted Sandro Tonali, his agent and Bresica that they had to stop negotiations to sign him after Antonio Conte met with club management last week according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.
Inter made it clear to those above that they had other priorities to deal with first, namely selling players to raise funds, and stated that they would need at least 15 to 20 days.
Thanks to this, AC Milan were able to swoop in for the highly rated Italian national team player and it now appears only a matter of time until they complete a deal to sign him.
Tonali is widely regarded as one of the best young players Italy have produced in a long time with many having labelled him as a generational talent. In the recently concluded 2019/20 season, the 20-year-old made 36 appearances across all competitions, in which he scored one goal and provided seven assists for his teammates.
