Italian football journalist Paolo Condo has shared his belief that Christian Eriksen is the elephant in the room at Inter ahead of the fast approaching 2020/21 season.

Eriksen joined Inter in a €20 million deal from Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur back in the January transfer window but he has struggled to perform to expectations in his time with the Nerazzurri club.

Multiple reports have suggested that Inter are open to listening to any offers for the Danish national team player, who Condo states Inter must find a solution for one way or another.

“In my opinion, when we talk about Inter, there is an elephant in the room that we pretend not to see and it’s Eriksen,” Condo explained whilst present in the studios of Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia yesterday afternoon.

“He is a player of the highest level, he must become the protagonist. Otherwise you sell him. Inter’s season revolves around this. If they sell Eriksen, maybe they can aim for another purchase of the same level.”

Since joining the club on a four and a half year contract, 28-year-old former Ajax man Eriksen has made 26 appearances across all competitions for the club. In just under 1100 minutes on the field, Eriksen has scored four goals and provided three assists for his teammates.
