Barcelona could announce the departure of Arturo Vidal from the club today according to a report from the online edition of Spanish news outlet Sport.
Barcelona are expected to reach an agreement with the Chilean national team player over a contract termination and whilst they will miss out on a transfer fee for him, they will be able to make a big saving due to offloading his wages.
Vidal appears set to join Inter once his contract with Barcelona is terminated. The former Bayern Munich player has already agreed a deal in principle with Inter and could put pen to paper in the coming days.
The 33-year-old is a long term transfer target of Inter, who have been courting him strongly since Inter manager Antonio Conte took charge of the club in the Summer of 2019.
In the 2019/20 season, Vidal made 43 appearances across all competitions, during which he scored eight goals and provided three assists for his teammates.
