Cagliari are interested in signing Inter midfielder Radja Nainggolan on loan again but the Nerazzurri want to sell the player permanently, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia earlier today.

The report details how the 32-year-old Belgian midfielder impressed whilst on loan with the Rossoblu last season, quickly becoming one of the most important players in the squad and even being given the captain’s armband at the end of October. Nainggolan has since returned to Milan, where he is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2022.

Whilst Cagliari are interested in signing Nainggolan again on loan, the report continues, the Nerazzurri are remaining rigid in their position, only looking to sell the player outright. There is no chance that he will be integrated into coach Antonio Conte’s squad and so the Milanese club would like to end this chapter once and for all. His high wages may push away the Sardinian club.
