Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal was invited to train alone with a physiotherapist whilst waiting for his move to Inter to be completed, according to a report from ESPN on Twitter earlier today.

The report details how the 33-year-old Chilean midfielder is set to leave the Blaugrana on a free transfer next week, terminating his contract with the club by mutual consent after new coach Ronald Koeman clearly communicated to him that he was no longer involved in the project at the club. The player is expected to join Inter next week, with coach Antonio Conte a big fan of the former Bayern Munich and Juventus midfielder.

Vidal trained alone with a physiotherapist today, the report continues, ahead of a move to the Nerazzurri at the start of next week. He is expected to undergo his medical examinations with the club on either Monday or Tuesday before officially signing and joining the squad at Appiano Gentile.

The situation was described by ESPN’s Barcelona correspondent Moisés Llorens on his Twitter page, where he said: “Koeman invited Suárez and Vidal to exercise alone with a physio while they close their transfers to Juve and Inter.”
