Inter will look to close out the deals for Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal and Roma’s Aleksandar Kolarov next week, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the 34-year-old Serbian left back will undergo his medicals with the Nerazzurri on either Monday or Tuesday next week, before the deal is fully finalised. The club are keen to work him into the pre-season preparations as soon as possible, considering that the season is due to start in two weeks. Kolarov will be able to play as both a left wing back and a left-sided centre back in the back three, playing backup for youngster Alessandro Bastoni.

In regard to Vidal, negotiations are currently ongoing between his agent and Barcelona to let him leave on a free transfer this summer, despite the fact that he is contracted to the club until 2021, the report continues. New coach Ronald Koeman has clearly communicated to the player that he is no longer involved in the project, and now the Blaugrana are hoping to let him leave for free in exchange for not paying his last year’s salary.
