Inter Won’t Re-Sign Andrea Pinamonti From Genoa Italian Media Report

Inter have decided not to re-sign Italian forward Andrea Pinamonti from Genoa, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews earlier today.

The report details how the 21-year-old Italian forward was sold by the Nerazzurri to the Rossoblu last summer for around €18 million, with a clause attached that would have allowed the Milanese side to re-purchase him for €20 million. The club have decided not to activate this clause and have communicated that to Genoa, forcing the club to find a new home for the striker.

Pinamonti earns around €1.8 million per season, the report continues, above average for the Genoa squad, which isn’t helped by the fact that coach Rolando Maran doesn’t see the player as part of the future project at the club. The player scored seven goals and provided three assists in 34 appearances this season, failing to justify a €20 million price tag in the current financial climate, which has been shaken by the Coronavirus pandemic.
