Barcelona star Lionel Messi will stay with the club for next season and wants them to sign either Inter’s Lautaro Martinez or Liverpool’s Sadio Mane, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Giornale.

The report details how the 33-year-old Argentine star has decided to remain with the Blaugrana after failing to find a way to leave the club on a free transfer this summer and not wanting to take the club to court. The project at Barcelona could now change a little to better accommodate the six-time Ballon d’Or winner, who has been unhappy with the direction that the club has taken since selling Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain.

First, Messi would like his friend Luis Suarez to stay at the club, the report continues, despite the fact that he is promised to Juventus. Then the Argentine forward would also like to club to sign either Inter’s Lautaro or Liverpool’s Mane, although the 23-year-old Argentine forward is the preferred option.
