Portuguese midfielder Joao Mario’s future is unclear but it’s likely that he’ll attend pre-season training with Inter, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how the 27-year-old, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2022, returned from his season-long loan spell with Russian side Lokomotiv Moscow recently, with the club choosing not to sign him permanently. He has not attended training at Appiano Gentile with his teammates, instead waiting for the meeting with the full squad on Monday.
It’s unclear whether Joao Mario will attend Monday’s meeting or not, the report continues, although it’s likely that he will begin pre-season preparations with the club, despite the fact that coach Antonio Conte has no interest in working the player into the squad. The Nerazzurri are still looking for suitors for the player, who didn’t particularly impress in Russia last season.
