Legendary Inter captain and current club vice-president Javier Zanetti has taken to photo sharing social media platform Instagram to pay tribute to legendary former Inter defender Giacinto Facchetti, 14 years on from his death.
Facchetti spent the entirety of his 18 year career with Inter between 1960 and 1978 and is widely regarded as one fo the club’s greatest ever servants.
After retiring he held various management roles at Inter up until his death in 2006.
Zanetti posted an image of Facchetti and captioned the post: “Today like every day in our thoughts, in our smiles, in our hearts. Forever.”
