Barcelona are preparing to launch a final attempt to bring Inter striker Lautaro Martinez to Catalonia, according to a report from International media outlet Goal.com earlier today.

The report details how despite reports that the Blaugrana have given up on the 23-year-old Argentine star and are looking to sign Lyon’s Memphis Depay instead, they are still keen to sign the Inter striker. First, Barcelona will need to offload former Liverpool forward Luis Suarez, who seems destined to join Andrea Pirlo’s Juventus. He already has an agreement in place for a three-year contract worth €10 million per season.

After offloading Suarez, Barcelona would have a little more breathing room economically, the report continues, that would allow them to make another attempt to sign Lautaro. The Blaugrana cannot afford to offer more than €65 million, however, and so it’s likely that players will be included in an attempt to convince the Nerazzurri to give up on the 23-year-old.
