Inter coach Antonio Conte doesn’t want Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen and so the club are willing to sell the player for around €40 million, according to a report from English tabloid the Daily Mail.

The report details how the 28-year-old Dane joined the Nerazzurri from Tottenham in the January transfer window in a deal worth around €20 million. Eriksen struggled to adapt to both Serie A and Conte’s tactical system, forcing the 51-year-old Italian coach to deviate from his traditional 3-5-2 formation.

Despite Eriksen’s recent arrival, Conte is remaining committed to the 3-5-2 system and so the player will find limited playing time, the report continues. As such, the Nerazzurri are willing to give up on the player and would be willing to sell him for around €40 million, with that money then being used to invest in Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante, Conte’s top transfer target. Eriksen himself does not want to leave the club.
