Inter striker Eddie Salcedo could be a part of coach Antonio Conte’s squad, after the Nerazzurri decided not to sell him to Hellas Verona, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the 18-year-old Italian forward spent last season on loan with the Gialloblu, where he scored one goal in 17 appearances for the Veneto based club. Verona were interested in signing him permanently and he could have been included in the deal for defender Marash Kumbulla, but since the Nerazzurri have decided to focus on other targets, Salcedo has returned to Milan.

Conte may decide to keep Salcedo, the report continues, and he could join the first team next season, likely in a similar capacity to the role held by Sebastiano Esposito last season. If the 51-year-old Italian decides not to keep the player then it’s likely that he’ll be sent out on loan again.
