Inter Won’t Re-Sign Pinamonti From Genoa This Window Due To Economic Reasons Italian Media Suggest

Inter have told Genoa that they will not be able to re-sign Italian striker Andrea Pinamonti this summer, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the 21-year-old Italian striker was sold to the Rossoblu last summer in a deal worth €18 million, with a gentleman’s agreement in place that the Milanese club would re-purchase him by the summer of 2021 for around €20-21 million. The Nerazzurri have already told the Ligurian club that they will not be able to sign Pinamonti this summer.

Inter have given the green light to Genoa to sell Pinamonti if they find a club that’ll satisfy their demands, the report continues. Otherwise, talks between the two parties regarding the 21-year-old Italian will be postponed until next summer. The Nerazzurri are in a delicate financial situation due to the Coronavirus pandemic and so are ensuring that investments are only made where there is the capability to do so.
