Inter are willing to sell Marcelo Brozovic as coach Antonio Conte believes Stefano Sensi can play in the Croatian’s role, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri are looking to fund further investments into the squad, but need to sell players in order to generate the necessary funds. The 27-year-old Croatian is valued at around €50-60 million by the Milanese club and European champions Bayern Munich are seriously interested in acquiring him before the closure of the transfer window. The Nerazzurri are interested in signing Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante but a deal may be hard to reach, especially due to the poor relationship between both clubs.

Conte believes that 25-year-old Sensi can play in Brozovic’s place as a regista, the report continues. The former Sassuolo midfielder played the role already at Cesena, the Neroverdi and with the Italian national team to good success, giving the 51-year-old Italian coach confidence in the player’s ability. In the Inter camp they hope that Sensi’s bad luck in regard to injuries is over, and the player will be both the present and the future of the club’s midfield alongside Nicolo Barella.
