Fiorentina’s asking price for Federico Chiesa is what lead to Inter signing Achraf Hakimi according to a report from Italian news outlet CalcioMercato.com.

Inter had made an enquiry to Fiorentina with regard to the availability of the highly rated Italian national team winger but Fiorentina responded by stating they will not let Chiesa leave the club for anything less than €80 million.

This figure led to Inter looking elsewhere and just days later they would sign Achraf Hakimi in a €45 million including add-ons deal from Real Madrid to bolster at right wing-back.

AC Milan have been linked with a move for Chiesa but as things stand there are currently no negotiations ongoing and Chiesa’s price has not dropped by that much either so Chiesa is not a priority signing for the Rossoneri club at the moment.

In the 2019/20 season Chiesa made 37 appearances across all competitions, in which he scored 11 goals and provided nine assists for his teammates.
