Andrea Ranocchia is evaluating the contract offer which he has receieved from Genoa according to a report from Italian news outlet FCInterNews.it.

The Rossoblu club have presented what is described as an interesting proposal to the 32-year-old central defender who is currently looking it over and weighing up whether to accept it or not.

Genoa have offered Ranocchia a two year contract with an option to a third year with an annual salary of €1.5 million.

The report goes on to explain that Lorenzo Pirola could be the man that replaces Ranocchia. Inter have tied Pirola down to a new contract until 2025 and have rejected a €7 million offer from Sassuolo for him due to believing in him and his massive potential.

Pirola being in the first team squad is also particularly useful when it comes to meeting the squad requirements for UEFA competition with Sebastiano Esposito set to go out on loan whilst Cristiano Biraghi and Tommaso Berni have both recently left.
