Gabriele ‘Lele’ Oriali will not travel with the Italian national team to Amsterdam for their UEFA Nations League tie against the Netherlands according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Oriali recently resumed his duties as Italian national team manager albeit on a part-time basis and will not be there tonight due to the fact part of Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta giving his blessing was that Oriali must prioritise Inter, who are beginning their preparations for the upcoming season today.

Oriali has been back at Inter since Antonio Conte took charge of Inter back in the Summer of 2019 and he has served as team manager.

Oriali has a long relationship with Inter, who he spent almost his entire playing career with between 1970 and 1983. Since retiring, the former Italian national team midfielder had an 11 year spell as a technical director at the club between 1999 and 2010 before his return in 2019.
