Inter’s dream signing in this transfer window is Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter manager Antonio Conte has identified the French national team midfielder as a player who would enable Inter to be truly competitive at the highest levels.

Whilst it will be very complicated to sign the former Leicester City player, he is certainly not unattainable. To convince Chelsea to sell him, Inter will need to cough up at least €50 million, a sum they can raise by selling multiple players or by selling a big name player.

29-year-old Kante joined Chelsea in 2016 and still has just under three years left to run on his current contract with the Premier League outfit.

In the 2019/20 season, Kante made 28 appearances across all competitions. In his time on the park, which totalled just over 2300 minutes, he scored a total of three goals.
