Genoa’s sporting director Daniele Faggiano is at Inter’s headquarters to discuss the situation of Andrea Pinamoni with Inter management according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia journalist and transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

Pinamonti joined Genoa last Summer from Inter in an €18 million deal and the two clubs reached a gentleman’s agreement for the highly rated young Italian striker to return to the Nerazzurri.

The parties are currently in talks to find a solution for the 21-year-old, who is a product of Inter’s youth academy. A number of reports elsewhere in the media have suggested that Inter could bring him back and utilise him as a fourth choice striking option.

During the 2019/20 season, Pinamonti made 34 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park, which totalled just over 2400 minutes, Pinamonti scored seven goals and provided a total of three assists for his teammates.
