Inter have clear ideas with regard to Lautaro Martinez’s future with the club according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter have zero intention of resuming negotiations with Barcelona over him and instead have every intention of signing him to a new contract and Inter’s owners Suning also have every intention of making him the image of the club.

Inter are in no rush and there is no confirmation regarding claims that Lautaro’s representatives are imminentely due in Milan but they are set on giving Lautaro a new and improved contract.

Lautaro currently earns €3 million including add-ons a year and Inter chief executive and sporting director Piero Ausilio are thinking of at least doubling that. Inter could hand Lautaro a new five year contract worth €6 million plus add-ons. Inter also wish to remove his €111 million release clause.

Last season the 23-year-old scored 21 goals and provided seven assists for his teammates in 49 appearances across all competitions.
