Lautaro Martinez’s representatives could be in Milan to hold talks with Inter in the coming days according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere della Sera.

The report from the Milan based news outlet explains that his representatives could hold discussions with Inter over a potential transfer to Barcelona, who have long courted their client, as well as discussions over a potential contract extension.

The feeling is that the 23-year-old Argentine national team player could remain with Inter if he is to receieve an improved salary of around €6 million plus add-ons as part of a new contract, a salary which is several times that of the one he is currently earning.

During the recently concluded 2019/20 season, Lautaro, who joined Inter in 2018 and is under contract until 2025, made 49 appearances across all competitions. In his time on the park, he scored 21 goals and provided seven assists for his teammates.
